One scene across four designs

The official USPS Holiday Elves announcement records a September 15, 2022, issue date in North Pole, Alaska. The designs are se-tenant, meaning they work individually while also forming a continuous scene. Artist and designer Don Clark created the digital illustrations, and Antonio Alcalá served as art director.

One elf sews a teddy bear, another wraps a gift, a third paints a model car, and a fourth examines a model rocket. These specific activities give the set a playful workshop narrative that fits family greetings, toy-drive mail, school events, customer appreciation cards, and seasonal collections.

Available sheet totals

For a personal list, count mailed households rather than every person named inside a card. For an organization, remove duplicates and suppress records that should not receive the campaign. Add a controlled allowance for damaged envelopes, corrections, and late additions, then use the displayed total rather than guessing from the number of sheets.

Because the four illustrations connect visually, keep complete groups together when presentation matters. Production staff should still apply only the postage required for each tested mailpiece and reconcile the remaining sheets after the campaign.

Finished-card and seasonal timing checks

A decorative design does not make every greeting card eligible for the same postage. Assemble one exact piece with photographs, inserts, folds, seals, and enclosures. Verify current requirements for weight, measurements, rigidity, thickness, destination, and service. Use current USPS holiday guidance rather than reusing a deadline from 2022.
